About

Originally from Sussex I am a professional tennis coach based at Clapham Common, South London. I started playing tennis at age 6 and immediately enjoyed the active, competitive and tactical aspects of the game.

I represented my county at all age groups as a junior and enjoyed success at regional tournaments allowing me to qualify for the British Junior Nationals. Since then I have played University Tennis and for numerous club teams whilst also gaining my tennis coaching qualifications.

I have and continue to teach all ages and abilities from Mini tennis red (aged 4+) through performance juniors at County Standard to adults of all abilities and techniques.

I believe tennis lessons should be enjoyable, you should hit a lot of tennis balls and that, when possible the emphasis should be less on rigid prescribed technique and more on tailoring your own natural style and abilities in combination with key tennis skills such as movement, anticipation, shot selection and tactical awareness.

I am a qualified LTA Level 3 Coach with junior performance qualifications. I hold a valid LTA licence, current DBS (previously CRB), Safeguarding and First Aid Certificates. I am also a member of the Lambeth Tennis Network and a Director of Lambeth Community Tennis Partnership.
